Southborough, Mass.—About half of magazine app users spend 20 minutes or more in the app, according to “Who Is the Mobile Magazine Reader,” a new study released by Texterity that provides digital editions of magazines.
The survey also found that mobile readers visit their app about five times per month. More than 80% share content in a variety of ways, including email, word-of-mouth and social media. And 40% said they have made purchases as a result of in-app advertising.
The results of the study can be found at www.texterity.com/survey
The findings will be explored in more detail during a webcast, “Tablets and Smartphones Inspire Publisher Innovation,” tomorrow at 2 p.m. ET.
