Survey: Nearly two-thirds of direct marketers plan to add staff

Owatonna, Minn.--Nearly two-thirds of direct marketers (64%) plan to hire staff in the first quarter of this year, according to a quarterly survey by Bernhart Associates Executive Search. That number is an increase from just over half (51%) that planned to add staff in the fourth quarter of 2003. The survey also found that one in five direct marketing companies still has a hiring freeze in effect
