AT&T to start private b-to-b exchange, reports say

Published on .

New York--AT&T Corp. is launching a private b-to-b exchange, according to reports from Reuters. The exchange will link AT&T, the biggest long distance carrier in the U.S., and its suppliers. It is being developed with help from Accenture and eB2B Commerce Inc., a New York-based software provider. Large corporations are increasingly opting for private exchanges as consortium-led marketplaces have had difficulty gaining traction. EB2B would not comment on the exchange and AT&T did not return calls by press time.
