Tech ad pages drop 9.7% in June

Manhasset, N.Y.—Tech ad pages decreased 9.7% in June compared with June 2003, according to figures gathered by IMS: The Auditor and released Thursday by United Business Media’s CMP Media. CMP’s technology ad pages in continuing publications decreased 8.2% in the month compared with a year earlier. When publications discontinued last year are factored in, CMP’s ad pages dipped 15.6%. CMP’s biggest gainer in June was Network Computing, which saw its pages increase 8.7% from a year earlier. The biggest decliner was Dr. Dobb’s Journal, which saw its ad pages drop 43.1%.
