Woburn, Mass.—Despite the rise of social media and content marketing as key marketing elements, only 20.5% of technology companies have corporate blogs, according to a study by content management company Percussion Software Research.
According to Percussion's “The Paradox of Blogging and Content Marketing,” among those tech companies with a corporate blog, 73.9% post new entries at least once a month. The rest are relatively dormant.
Percussion's study also found that larger companies are more likely to have an active blog than smaller or midsize companies. The study was based on an analysis conducted in February of 806 companies within the tech sector.
