TechTarget announces Asian ventures

Needham, Mass.--TechTarget Wednesday announced two partnerships intended to expand the tech media company’s global reach.

TechTarget said it has formed a partnership with information technology portal ChinaByte to launch Chinese-language versions of five TechTarget Web sites:,,, and

“We believe the relationship we’ve established with ChinaByte will serve as a model for licensing agreements for other TechTarget media properties throughout the world,” TechTarget CEO Greg Strakosch said in a statement.

In the other deal, TechTarget partnered with New Era International, a security media company in Taiwan, to produce Taiwanese versions of TechTarget’s Information Security magazine and Web site.

Information Security Taiwan will be published in traditional Chinese and distributed monthly to a controlled circulation of 20,000 Taiwanese information security professionals.
