The monthly magazine is distributed to a controlled circulation of 67,500 IT security professionals. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Information Security, which covers security technologies, practices and trends, will complement TechTargetâs SearchSecurity.com Web site and the Security Decisions conference, TechTarget CEO Greg Strakosch said.
The Web site, the conference and the newly acquired magazine will form TechTargetâs new Security Media Group.
Advertising revenue for Information Security is up about 25% so far this year, according to TechTarget, which said it expects to double the magazineâs revenue next year.
