New York—United Business Media’s TechWeb, publisher of InformationWeek, Monday launched Executive Clan, an online resource for executives who have the responsibility of using Web-based technologies to improve their business’ performance.

The Executive Clan is part of Internet Evolution, which can be found at www.internetevolution.com.

“The Executive Clan is a restricted-membership user group within Internet Evolution for business leaders from sectors like banking, government, entertainment, retail, health care, green tech and pharmaceuticals,” said Terry Sweeney, editor in chief of Internet Evolution. “Membership in the Executive Clan is free, but is open only to the executive ranks of the world’s leading corporations.”

Contributors to Executive Clan include Dan Lohrmann, CTO, state of Michigan; David Silversmith, VP-IT at FirstBook.org and former CTO, Carfax; and David Vellante, founder of Wikibon.org.
