Published on .

San Francisco—TechWeb Wednesday announced plans for Cloud Summit, an executive conference covering “cloud computing” and the Web as a platform.

The conference is scheduled for Oct. 14 at the Computer History Museum in Silicon Valley.

“There have been only a handful of major technology shifts in our modern computing history. We’re currently teetering on the edge of another profound disruption of the status quo with the introduction of cloud computing and the Web as the new platform,” said M.R. Rangaswami, Sand Hill Group co-founder and the host of Cloud Summit.

Registration opened Wednesday; attendance will be limited to 350 people.
