San Francisco—Research companies Telephia and comScore announced the launch of a joint service to provide combined Internet usage data.
The new service, MobileWeb Metrix, is designed to provide advertisers, media companies and ad agencies with a detailed comparison of audiences that view Internet content using mobile phones and PCs.
The service delivers an index, called the Mobile-to-PC Reach Index, which is defined as a Web site’s reach among mobile Web users divided by its reach among PC-based Internet users.
According to the first research report from MobileWeb Metrix, the sites having the highest Mobile-to-PC Reach Index in September were AccuWeather, ESPN, Weather.com, Yahoo! Weather and Gmail.
