TheStreet.com partners with ‘Newsweek,’ PBS’ ‘Nightly Business Report’

New York—Digital financial media company TheStreet.com has unveiled two content sharing agreements this week.

On Tuesday, TheStreet said it had entered into an agreement with Newsweek. TheStreet, and its sibling website, MainStreet, will supply stories for use in print editions of Newsweek and on Newsweek.com. Newsweek will also provide content to TheStreet.

On Monday, TheStreet announced a similar arrangement with PBS’ “Nightly Business Report.” Editorial staffers from TheStreet will appear on the TV program during its “Word on TheStreet” segment, which will run each Tuesday and examine mutual funds, small cap stocks and other topics. Interviews will be hosted by “NBR” anchor Tom Hudson. Related content will appear on TheStreet.com.

“Partnerships like this one affirm the highly differentiated strengths of TheStreet’s editorial and will increasingly be part of our strategy to bring new traffic to our free site and subscribers to our paid services products,” TheStreet CEO Daryl Otte said in a statement.
