Thinking about the iPad

I am impressed by the extremely rapid increase in the deployment of iPads and tablets in b-to-b sales and marketing. 

Just in the last six months, I have seen a huge increase in requests for online content to be delivered in a mobile friendly format.  I believe we are going to see a dramatic increase in the adoption of these devices, and we need to organize, display and deliver digital content effectively to IPads. 

At a recent distributor meeting, multiple sales personnel were now carrying iPads instead of laptops. Our focus in the near term will be to ensure that our product presentations, videos, technical documents, and product pricing and availability are all viewable on iPads. We are examining our website content and layout to help facilitate mobile device navigation. Our custom quoting system will be reviewed to also allow for mobile quoting.
