Thismoment, YuMe gain venture fund infusions

San Francisco—Thismoment Inc., a digital marketing platform provider, has secured $7.3 million in its first institutional capital round, led by Sierra Ventures. Thismoment's Distributed Engagement Channel manages content, conversations and creative assets across earned, owned and paid media channels. The company plans to use the funds to accelerate platform development, expand its operations in the U.S., and establish new offices in Asia, Europe and Latin America. In addition, smart TV operation system company YuMe Inc. received an investment of $12 million from Samsung Ventures, the venture capital arm of the Samsung Group, and Translink Capital. Smart TVs integrate the Internet and Web 2.0 features with new-generation TV sets and set-top boxes.
