Thomson to acquire Dialog online units

The Thomson Corp. announced March 23 that it has agreed to acquire the online information businesses of The Dialog Corp. plc for $275 million. Dialog's information services division provides information in business, science, engineering, finance and law to more than 20,000 corporate customers in 120 countries. The Dialog Corp. will change its name to Bright Station plc and will continue to operate its current Web solutions division and e-commerce division.
