Thomson Corp. to sell financial titles

Toronto--Thomson Corp. plans to sell several of its print financial publications as part of its ongoing effort to become an exclusively electronic publishing company. Titles on the block are: American Banker, The Bond Buyer, A.S. Pratt, Credit Union Journal, National Mortgage News, Sheshunoff Information Services, Financial Planning, On Wall Street, Securities News and Traders Magazine. Thomson said it has retained investment banker Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Co. and expects a deal to be closed later this year.
