Thomson Reuters adds to senior editorial team

Published on .

New York—Thomson Reuters added four new members to Editor-in-Chief Stephen J. Adler's senior leadership team: Paul Ingrassia, Jim Gaines, Stuart Karle and Reg Chua. The company said the filling of these new positions is part of an editorial reorganization intended to separate content from operations.

Ingrassia, a Pulitzer Prize winner and former president of Dow Jones Newswires, has been named deputy editor-in-chief. Gaines, former managing editor of Time, Life and People will become ethics, standards and innovation editor.

Karle, former general counsel to The Wall Street Journal, will become chief operating officer. And Chua, previously editor-in-chief of the South China Morning Post, joins as data editor.
