Thomson revenues climb in third quarter

Published on .

Toronto--Thomson Corp. Tuesday reported that revenue for the third quarter rose 6% to $2.1 billion, compared with the same period last year, because of enhanced revenues in the company's information divisions. Revenue from the company’s Learning division climbed 13%, and revenue from the Legal and Regulatory division increased 5%. Revenues from Thomson Media group fell 13% because of the weak advertising market for its publications, which include American Banker and Bond Buyer.
