New York—Time Inc. has named Jed Hartman to the newly created position of group publisher-news and business, effective immediately.
Hartman is responsible for all advertising sales and marketing for CNNMoney.com, Fortune
, Fortune.com, Money, Time
and Time.com. For the past two years Hartman has served as worldwide publisher of Fortune
There will be a senior ad sales executive for each of the Time Inc. brands in the news and business portfolio. Hartman has tapped Brendan Ripp, publisher of Money
since 2010, for the newly created position of VP-sales at Fortune
, with senior advertising executives for Time
to be named later.
“Jed's appointment and putting this new structure in place are the first steps in taking our news and business titles to their best position for long-term growth,” said Todd Larsen, who in September was named to the new position of exec VP-group president of news and sports at Time Inc.
