TNS to track local cable advertising

New York—TNS Media Intelligence announced it will track advertising on local cable TV networks in the San Francisco and Boston markets, beginning in March. TNS plans to roll out additional markets in the next several months.

Under the new service, TNS will monitor multiple cable systems in each market, tracking information such as cable network, category, advertiser, brand and number of ad units.

The first set of data for San Francisco and Boston will be available in April.

“Local cable television is a critical element to many advertising campaigns, and we are pleased to be the first competitive intelligence provider to track this vital information which, until now, has never been available,” said Steven Fredericks, president-CEO of TNS Media Intelligence.
