Pearl River, N.Y.--Traffix Inc. has completed the acquisitions of a pair of companies that fit strategically with its existing direct marketing and database software and services. Traffix bought Infiknowledge for about $1 million. The purchase brings with it an e-mail delivery system, a set of Internet games designed for direct marketing and 30 software developers. For an unspecified amount less than $1 million, Traffix also bought Thanksmuch L.L.C., which will continue to be run by former Publishers Clearing House managers Ken Auerfeld and Clifford Resnick. Traffix will use the acquisitions to broaden the portfolio of marketing services it offers clients, said company Chairman-CEO Jeffrey Schwartz.
