Transora picks exchange tech partners

Chicago--Consumer packaged goods e-hub Transora.com said Tuesday it has chosen Ariba Inc., Mountain View, Calif., and i2 Technologies Inc., Dallas, to provide the technology for its food, beverage and consumer products marketplace. The marketplace will be built with multiple auction capabilities, digital catalogs, content management, retail services and order management, supply chain optimization and collaboration, and procurement capabilities for catalogs, direct materials, packaging, and maintenance, repair and operations goods. Transora represents another major hub win for Ariba. Competitor Commerce One Inc., Pleasanton, Calif., scored a victory Monday landing electronics marketplace eHiTex.com.
