Twitter has ‘Suggestions for You’

Published on .

San Francisco—Microblogging service Twitter is rolling out a new feature called “Suggestions for You” that will help users find people of similar interests.

According to Twitter, its algorithms are able to suggest people whom users don’t currently follow and may find interesting.

The suggestions are based on several factors, including people you follow and the people they follow, according to Twitter. The new feature can be found under the “Find People” link in the header of Twitter.com. The company will also make the feature available to developers so its functionality can be included in third-party apps.

Earlier this month, Twitter started displaying people results next to keyword search results in an effort to help users find more people to follow.
