Dublin—Marketing spending in the U.S. is expected to total $615 billion this year, according to Research and Markets’ "Sizing US Marketing 2006" report.

The report is based on proprietary survey data collected in August from U.S. business executives and data from the U.S. government.

Online advertising, e-mail marketing, and Internet media will account for $90 billion of the spending total. The report said the manufacturing industry will spend the most on marketing this year, with a budget of $59 billion.
