UAL Corp., the holding company for the world’s biggest airline, has launched United NewVentures, a division that will create e-businesses that work in sync with United Airlines and its customer service projects. United NewVentures, which is expected to employ 100 people, will complement UAL’s other e-commerce arms, UnitedNetWorks and United NetVentures. UnitedNewVentures’ venture funding amounts and other details were not available. Doug Hacker, United Airlines’ CFO, was tapped as president of United NewVentures. He will retain his current title.
