UBM expands presence in India

UBM’s health care division, CMPMedica, has acquired Mediworld Publications, an Indian medical publisher, for $844,500. The acquisition includes six specialty medical journals and a Pharmaceutical Marketing Solutions business.

In another move aimed at penetrating the Indian market, CMP Media has launched a portfolio of media products in concert with its Indian partner Cybermedia, focusing on the global technology and business services sourcing industry. The portfolio comprises the Global Services Web site (www.globalservices.com ), the monthly Global Services launched last month and the Global Services conference.

Meanwhile, CMP Asia is expanding its presence in India with several new events including CPhI India (a chemical ingredients exhibition and conference), Food Ingredients India and Entech India (an environmental and renewable energy exhibition and conference).
