ULTIMATE SOFTWARE Agency: N/A Software that can tell when an employee is ready to jump ship? Who knew? We better start acting more contented around the boss. But Ultimate Software says that its data scientists have developed an algorithm that uses dozens of indicators that can better determine employee retention. OK, we believe you; but we think the ad would do a better job of seizing the attention of supervisors and human resources types if it ditched the headline—“Maybe a new tie means he's interviewing. Maybe it means it's Wednesday”—in favor of the opening line of copy that says: “Are your top people a flight risk?” The target audience would likely find that approach more compelling.
