Umbria service designed to connect marketers with bloggers

Boulder, Colo.—Umbria, a market research company that focuses on blogs, Monday introduced Umbria Connect, which will provide URL source lists for companies that want to connect with individual bloggers.

Umbria Connect gathers information from publicly available consumer-generated media sources to locate individual bloggers writing about specific subjects or themes that might interest marketers. Umbria sells the blog URLs in blocks of 25 on a subscription basis.

Clients can use the service to try to drum up interest for products and services, test marketing or to gather information on what people think about the competition.
