Waltham, Mass.—Unica Corp., an enterprise marketing management company, announced Tuesday after the markets closed that it has agreed to acquire Sane Solutions, a Web analytics provider.
The purchase price is estimated at $26 million to $28 million, consisting of $22.8 million in cash, and the remainder in Unica common stock, assumed liabilities and transaction-related costs. The sale is expected to close by the end of the month.
The move gives Unica enhanced analytics and Internet marketing technology through Sane’s NetTracker data collection and reporting product. Unica said it can now integrate direct mail with sales center outreach and e-mail marketing to deliver integrated campaigns.
Sane Solutions' co-founders, Jim Rose and Frank Faubert, will join Unica and serve as VP-internet marketing business development and VP-internet marketing solutions, respectively.
