Unicast launches Video Commercial

New York--Online advertising technology company Unicast has launched the Video Commercial, an online ad format that delivers full-screen, broadcast-quality video to advertisers.

AT&T Corp., American Honda Motor Corp., McDonald’s Corp., Pepsi, Vonage and Warner Brothers have agreed to participate in a six-week beta test of the Video Commercial.

Video Commercials are built on the Microsoft Windows Media 9 Series platform and delivered via Unicast’s pre-cached technology. They are 2MB, 30-second spots that provide television-like quality.

Unicast also announced that Dynamic Logic will conduct effectiveness research on the Video Commercial during the six-week test.
