United Business Media acquires OAG

London—United Business Media, parent company of CMP Technology, on Monday said it has acquired OAG in a cash deal worth $4.9 million.

OAG provides consolidated passenger and cargo flight information on the aviation industry. It offers business travelers data files, Internet timetables, flight analysis tools, flight status displays and alert services for airports, airlines and travel-related Web sites.

UBM bought OAG on behalf of its Commonwealth Business Media subsidiary. Commonwealth’s products, which serve more than 85,000 customers, include online data services PIERS Global Intelligence Solutions and BACK Aviation Solutions; The Journal of Commerce and its related portfolio of titles (both print and online); and several directories covering international trade and the rail and trucking markets.
