United Business Media b-to-b subsidiary buys Roper Starch Worldwide

London--United Business Media plc b-to-b marketing agency subsidiary NOP World has bought Roper Starch Worldwide, a New York-based marketing and media research company. The acquisition builds NOP World's strength in the b-to-b pharmaceutical and telecom industries. Ad vet Jay Wilson, chairman-CEO of Roper Starch, will become executive chairman of NOP World U.S.A., a unit of NOP World. Financial details were not disclosed.
