UPS ads to debut during Daytona 500

Daytona Beach, Fla.--United Parcel Service of America Inc. will unveil the latest ads in its “We want to race the truck” advertising campaign during the Daytona 500 slated for this Sunday. These ads will feature George Thorogood singing a rendition of “Bad to the Bone” with the words changed to “Brown to the Bone.” In the spots, Nascar driver Dale Jarrett, whose car is sponsored by UPS, is encouraged to race “the truck,” i.e., a UPS truck. Martin Agency, Richmond, Va., created the spots, which are scheduled to run throughout the year in Nascar race telecasts and in motorsports and trade publications. The campaign will continue to evolve with other celebrity requests for Jarrett to race the truck.
