UPS selects Ogilvy for global advertising account

Atlanta—United Parcel Service of America announced it has selected Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, New York, as its global advertising agency of record, following a six-month review.

Ogilvy will handle advertising, relationship marketing and online, and its Maxus sibling shop will handle global media buying.

UPS’ previous U.S. agency was the Martin Agency, Richmond, Va., and its previous global agencies included shops within McCann Worldgroup.

The other finalists in the review were Euro RSCG and Y&R. Billings are estimated at $200 million.
