Washington, D.C.—The U.S. Postal Service will offer product marketers a 5% upfront postage discount on samples mailed out in August and September.
The Postal Service's Product Samples promotion,
for the mailing of trial-size samples, is intended to “re-invigorate product sampling” through the mail, the Postal Service said in a statement.
The promotion also is intended to raise awareness of the Postal Service's new Simple Samples
standard mail program, which offers flat-rate pricing, volume discounts and less stringent mail-preparation requirements.
