ValueClick buys Greystripe

Westlake Village, Calif.—ValueClick Inc., an integrated online marketing services company, announced it has acquired Greystripe Inc., a mobile advertising network, in an all-cash deal valued at about $70 million. Greystripe, which is headquartered in San Francisco, serves rich media impressions to users of touch-driven devices.

ValueClick said the deal would give it scale in the U.S. mobile advertising market. “Greystripe accelerates ValueClick's move "up the marketing funnel' with brand advertisers and gives ValueClick Media immediate scale and expertise in the large and fast-growing mobile ad market,” said Jim Zarley, ValueClick CEO, said in a statement.
