Lincolnshire, Ill.—Vance Publishing announced the creation of a new business unit, the Interiors Group, that joins together the company’s Decor and Industrial divisions.
"Industrial’s strengths in the areas of news, manufacturing and business management, and Decor’s strength as a leading source for furnishings fashion and trend information are a powerful combination," Vance Publishing Chairman William C. Vance said in a statement.
The Interiors Group includes Wood & Wood Products Magazine, Furniture Style, Custom Woodworking Business, Residential Lighting, Closets Magazine and Accessory Merchandising, as well as several Web sites and electronic products, events and custom publishing initiatives.
The Interiors Group will be headed by Harry Urban, VP-publishing director; Mike Reckling, who continues as group publisher of the Decor Division; and Laurel Didier, who has been promoted to group publisher of the Industrial Division.
Earlier this year, Vance placed its food and agriculture publications under a Food Business Unit umbrella.
