Vance sells ‘Residential Lighting,’ closes two other magazines

Arlington Heights, Ill.—Scranton Gillette Communications announced that it has agreed to acquire Residential Lighting from Vance Publishing Corp.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Lincolnshire, Ill.-based Vance plans to close two other publications in its Decor group: Furniture Style and Design & Decor, according to MediaFinder.com.

In an internal memo to Vance employees, Bill Vance, chairman, and Peggy Walker, president, cited the “worldwide economic recession” as part of the reason for the closures.
