VentureDirect beefs up e-mail platform

New York--VentureDirect Worldwide Inc., in the midst of a plan to marry b-to-b print direct mail and Internet campaigns, said Thursday that it has increased the number of its opt-in e-mail addresses by about 6 million names since April. It now has about 15 million opt-in e-mail addresses in its database. The move underscores VentureDirect's aggressive plan to provide complete b-to-b marketing services, as opt-in addresses generate about 12% higher response rates than traditional postal and Web banner advertising.
