Sunnyvale, Calif.--High-quality searching on the Internet is the aim of Verity Inc., which this week confirmed it has deployed a multimillion-page search engine on behalf of the U.S. Air Force. The portal is designed to “help our personnel and support contractors find critical information quickly and easily,” said Lt. Col. Mark Bryant, U.S. Air Force portal program manager. The site could prove critical to Verity's b-to-b marketing as it will mark the outer limits of integration by linking 28,000 legacy information systems and 1,500 Air Force Web sites.
