Verizon consolidates $1.9 billion marketing business

New York—Verizon Corp. said Friday that it will consolidate its $1.9 billion Verizon Wireless advertising and media business with a few agencies. The move is intended to create a common look and feel across the company’s lines of business and provide cost savings. The company said it will reduce its number of creative and media-buying agencies from more than 20 to 10. The biggest winner in the review is Interpublic Group of Cos.’ McCann WorldGroup.
