Veronis, Suhler acquires medical publishing products

New York--VS&A Communications Partners L.P. said Thursday that its Canon Communications subsidiary has acquired Medical Device Register and Medical Device Register International from Medical Economics Co., a unit of Toronto-based Thomson Corp. Terms of the transaction weren't disclosed. The MDR products are leading directories in the medical products manufacturing industry. They provide detailed information in print and on the Web on more than 65,000 medical products from more than 12,000 manufacturers. Canon, which was acquired by VS&A in 1996, is a b-to-b publisher and trade show producer operating in the medical and high-tech manufacturing sectors.
