New York—Viacom, owner of CBS, announced Thursday that Larry Kramer has been named president of CBS Digital Media, a newly created division within CBS.

The founder of CBS MarketWatch (now Dow Jones’ MarketWatch), Kramer will now oversee CBS.com, CBS SportsLine.com, CBSNews.com and UPN.com.

"We are grateful for Larry Kramer’s assistance in our successful integration of MarketWatch into Dow Jones, which was completed ahead of schedule. By remaining in online publishing, Larry Kramer will continue to help this new medium grow and thrive, especially for high-quality content providers like the Wall Street Journal Online, MarketWatch and CBS," L. Gordon Crovitz, senior VP of Dow Jones and president of its electronic publishing group, said in a statement.
