New York—VNU Business Media, a unit of VNU Group, Thursday announced that it has restructured into six market-focused groups.
Under the restructuring, former units VNU Business Publications, VNU Expositions and VNU eMedia and Information Marketing no longer exist.
Instead, the properties that were under those groups have been divided into six distinct operating groups: marketing; film; music; retail; residential and commercial building design; and marketing services and travel.
As a result of the restructuring Greg Farrar, president of the former VNU Expositions, has been promoted to COO of VNU Business Media.
Bob Krakoff, who joined the company in August as president-CEO, said in a news release: “Our new market-focused orientation provides the ability to better serve our audience and clients by leveraging our market assets collectively and achieving greater back-office economies of scale for all of VNU Business Media.”
A new Marketing Services department will oversee, among other things, classified and recruitment advertising, list rental, editorial reprints and ancillary products for trade shows.
VNU Business Media publishes 42 trade titles, including Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter.
