VNU introduces information service for CPG, retail industry execs

New York—Anglo-Dutch media giant VNU on Monday launched “Executive Perspective,” an information service targeting senior executives who operate in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) and retail industries.

Drawing on the specialty of VNU’s various assets, which include ACNielsen and 45 trade publications such as Billboard and Progressive Grocer, the service provides business executives with perspectives on news and emerging trends affecting the CPG and retail businesses.

The content will be delivered in print, online and face to face via monthly reports, real-time alerts and presentations.

A consortium of seven private equity firms has made a formal bid to buy VNU for nearly $9 billion, but influential shareholders are balking at the deal.
