Haarlem, The Netherlands--B-to-b publishing company VNU and KPN Royal Dutch Telecom will introduce a $30 million venture capital fund. Due to roll out in October, it will invest in Europe-based broadband content and mobile Internet start-ups. Though VNU has invested in start-ups before, this is its most organized effort. It is a continuation of the ongoing European VC boom and underscores VNU's transformation from a consumer magazine publisher to a technology information giant.
