Haarlem, the Netherlands—VNU announced that Rob Ruijter, CFO-designate, will be located at VNU’s New York headquarters beginning sometime next year. VNU said the move was the result of changes in VNU’s business portfolio—such as the coming sale of its World Directories—that have made the company more U.S.-focused. With the pending relocation of Ruijter, all of the Dutch company’s executive board members will be New York based. VNU said it expects to make 40 job cuts at its Haarlem headquarters. VNU will remain a Dutch legal entity.
