W.L. Ross acquires Marquis Who's Who

New York--Wilbur L. Ross’ investment firm, W.L. Ross & Co., announced it has acquired Marquis Who’s Who, which include "Who’s Who in America" and other biographical publishing products, from Reed Elsevier. Additionally, W.L. Ross also acquired the "Official Museum Directory" and the "Official Catholic Directory." In an interview with Dow Jones Newswires, Ross said he expected to expand his directory business through organic growth and acquisition. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Communications industry investment bank Berkery, Noyes & Co. represented Reed Elsevier in the transaction.
