W.W. Grainger names marketing VPs

Chicago—W.W. Grainger Inc. announced Monday that Laura D. Brown has been promoted to VP-marketing and Debra S. Oler to VP-marketing and sales effectiveness.

Oler has also been temporarily given expanded responsibility for the sales organization.

Brown had been VP-market planning. She joined Grainger in 2000 as a VP in the Internet business group. Oler joined Grainger in 2002 as regional sales VP-North Central region. She became VP-sales operations in 2003.

Brown succeeds Donna Broome, and Oler, Rick Bakosh. Both Broome and Bakosh chose to leave the company, Grainger said.
