New York--Intelisys Electronic Commerce Inc. said Wednesday that it has named Christopher Wagner to succeed Lloyd O'Connor at the helm of the company. The decision, made at a board of directors meeting this week, comes in the middle of a $20 million integrated marketing campaign by Intelisys that attempts to position it as a direct competitor of Ariba Inc., Commerce One Inc. and Oracle Corp. in the e-marketplace arena. Under O'Connor, Intelisys focused primarily on software development and did little marketing. Wagner joined Intelisys in April as COO. Prior to the appointment, Wagner was exec VP-general manager of the services arm of Computer Associates International.
