‘Wall Street Journal’ deputy managing editor leaving to join Columbia administration

New York—Bill Grueskin, deputy managing editor-news at The Wall Street Journal announced Wednesday that he is leaving the newspaper after nearly 13 years to become dean of academic affairs at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. In that role, Grueskin said, he will oversee the school’s faculty and curriculum. No replacement has been named for Grueskin, who said he will be leaving the Journal “in a few weeks.”
